The Power of the Mind

Do what makes you happy, and the skills will come!

Following what works is viable and usually leads to great results. But not always. Because there is a detachment between input and output. A good decision probably means a good outcome, but not for sure; there are always factors you couldn't have known about, an infinite number of them!

But we all have the capability to make some things work more than half the time. We can learn skills, processes, make use of our knowledge and do our best. On the other hand, saying "I won't do that, because I can't" is easy, but leads to a hard life. The way we learned the skills we have now, we can turn a necessary computer program into our best servant, improve the body and develop the mind.

If you realize you have the capacity to improve in some areas, you will have the willingness to face the challenges of what's required to make what makes you happy, work. And then, the question is no more whether you "can," only, whether you will or you won't.

"Do what makes you happy" is indeed good advice, it leads to a life that brings fulfillment, not just results you want to get. Do what makes you happy, and the rest will take care of itself.
